Product Images

This tab is where you upload, organize, caption and annotate the various sketches, CADs and other visual assets for each Tech Pack. In this article, we'll review the following:

  1. Uploading Product Images
  2. Managing Product Images
  3. Annotating Product Images
    1. Navigating the Image Annotator
    2. Annotation Tools
    3. Additional Annotator Functionality

Uploading Product Images

  • At the top of the Image page, opt to browse for assets or drag-and-drop them in directly.
  • Acceptable file formats are AI, PSD, JPG, PDF, and PNG. TIFF files are not accepted.
    • All files are converted to JPG upon upload
    • If after uploading an AI file you notice that the image has a lower resolution than expected, this can be due to the compression taking place during the upload. To resolve this, we recommend taking a screenshot of the desired image and uploading this instead.
    • PDF files may also be subject to compression/lower resolution after uploading.
    • Original files will be stored in the Files section of the Product record
  • New uploads display as thumbnails in the Uncategorized Image section by default
  • Images are captioned with the original file name by default; click the file name text to edit it
  • To maximize the image size output on your Tech Packs, we recommend cropping tightly around the image with as little extra white space as possible.

Managing Product Images

  • All the Image Sections you configure in your Admin panel are available for organizing your various images (see Tech Pack Sections for more details)

    • Clicking the 3-dot Overflow Icon opens the Overflow Menu with several additional options
    • Clicking the Checkbox at top right selects the Image, revealing the Bulk Actions toolbar at top of page, with several other options

    • Drag-and-drop the thumbnail into the target section
    • Click the target section via the Assign Section option in the Overflow Menu

  • Drag-and-drop the thumbnails within each section to specify their precise in your Tech Pack
  • Delete, or Archive Images via the 3-dot Overflow Menu or the Bulk Actions Toolbar
    • Duplicated Images include Annotations
